Farkle Scorekeeper

Roll your own dice. Tap the ones you keep. It does the arithmetic, enforces the 500-to-open rule and settles the arguments.

How are you rolling?

Who's playing?

First to wins. You need in one turn to get on the board.

    Scoring

Every die you keep has to be part of a scoring combination. Score all six and you get all six back — that's hot dice.

A scorekeeper, not a dice roller

Farkle is best played with real dice in your hand. The tedious part has never been the rolling — it is the arithmetic, the running totals, and the third argument of the evening about whether four of a kind plus a pair counts as three pairs. That is the part this handles.

Tap each die you are keeping and the total climbs as you go, with the breakdown spelled out underneath: Three 2s 200 + One 5 50 = 250. A combination only scores once it is complete, so a lone 2 is worth nothing, a pair of 2s is worth nothing, and the third 2 turns all three into 200. Until your kept dice actually score, the app will not let you reroll or bank them.

If you would rather practise on your own, or the dice are in the other room, switch to App rolls on the first screen and it will roll for you, spot Farkles itself, and suggest the highest-scoring set of dice to keep.

    What it keeps track of

No sign-up, no account, no server

There is nothing to install and nothing to create an account for. Games, house rules and the leaderboard are stored in your own browser and never sent anywhere — which also means they stay on the device you played on. Add the page to your home screen and it runs full screen and offline, which is handy when the table is somewhere with no signal.

    New to the game?

Start with how to play Farkle for the full rules, keep the scoring chart open for reference, and read the strategy page when you want to know whether to roll those two dice again. If your family plays it slightly differently — most do — the variants page lists the common house rules and how to switch each one on.
